Meet our Pastor: Ryan Ogborn

Originally from Escatawpa, MS, Pastor Ryan graduated from Moss Point High School in 2005 and pursued his education at the University of Mobile, where he played in college tennis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theology with a minor in Biology. Additionally, Ryan attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, focusing on earning his Master of Divinity with a specialization in Apologetics.

Ryan's spiritual journey began in his hometown church, Escatawpa Baptist Church, where he found his faith. His commitment to ministry became evident when he answered the call to serve as the Children's and Youth Pastor at East Moss Point Baptist Church. During his five-year tenure, he also filled the role of Interim Pastor when the church was without a permanent leader. Ryan organized and led impactful mission trips to the Cayman Islands and Honduras, collaborating with Cayman Islands Baptist Church and his mentor Randy Von Kanel.

After his ordination, Ryan took on the role of Associate Pastor at Riverside Church in River Ridge from 2013 to 2018. In June 2018, he transitioned to become the Youth Pastor at West St. Charles Baptist. Serving as the Interim Pastor starting in August 2020, Ryan was unanimously voted in as the Pastor in February 2021.

In his personal life, Ryan is happily married to Roberta, a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse at Oschner Baptist. Together, they are proud parents to two sons, Isaiah and Ezra, and share their home with a lively three legged Doberman named Spock. Pastor Ryan brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a passion for serving the community to our church family.
